This weekend we had some fun with our granddaughter, Harper--she LOVES her Pappy! They were in the Guest Room/Office yesterday rolling matchbox cars over their feet (tickles!) and sniffing a lavender sachet. A great combo if you haven’t tried it :) Also, I want to thank the Polka Dot Powerhouse networking group for having me as their guest speaker last Thursday-- ‘Feng Shui for Business Success’. This group of smart, sassy, and soulful women totally rocked--the more of their fabulous vibe in the world, the better!

Can you feel the buzzzzzzzz? The holiday bustle coming on? Some of it’s good, very, very good!!!! And, some of it is tinged with a bit of frantic, cuckoo, “have-tos” and “shoulds”. Pay very close attention--feel into the difference. When you consider one of the “have-tos”...where are you feeling it? Is it a physical feeling? An emotion? Here’s a suggestion for bringing in a speck of awareness this season-- Create two lists: List 1--All the things I HAVE to do for the holidays........ This list may include parties, gifts + wrapping, travel, baking, crafting, shopping, cards, visits, decorating and cooking that feels like OBLIGATION. (OMG, I’m exhausted just writing the list :) LIST 2--What I really want to be doing during the holidays.......
How is your week going? We have A LOT happening here at the office--keep your grapes peeled for an amazing FREE E-course scheduled for the New Year! Annnnnnd note to self: Remember to schedule in more down time and FUN. What’s on your “Fun Things To Do” list? I would love to know…I’ll share a compiled list next week! I was at a party awhile ago (5-6 years ago but who’s counting…) and someone asked me this question, and I’ve never forgotten it: Q: Do you organize people’s stuff or their lives? A: Such a good question!!!! The short answer is BOTH. We often see LAYERS to the results people experience when they really decide to “go for it” in the editing and organizing of their homes and offices. ~Layer #1 Things look neater, you can find things easily, maybe they’re labeled (what a concept!) and all the junk is gone--even the unseen, in the closet, under the bed stuff--that no one would know about but you! ~Layer #2 You FEEL better, less stressed and magically seem to have MORE TIME to spend on whatever you’d like. You have a spring in your step--feel lighter and have more energy. Editing and releasing items you no longer need or love seems to have a very uplifting effect on you! ~Layer #3 The spaciousness created in your home is correlating with shifts, both large and small, in your LIFE! A new job springs up that’s a fabulous match for you, a conversation with a sweet soul at the coffee shop turns into a dinner date, you decide to go to a regular yoga class and are feeling soooooooo good! Things are happening for you in BIG WAYS and they seem to correlate with the work you’ve done clearing out your home. All of this and more (!) are possible results from intentionally releasing the stagnant and chaotic energy (ie: junk, stuff, crap) from your home! You’ll most likely start at Level #1 (soooo practical!), and want to make the pantry or your closet feel organized, but be on the lookout for the deeper, more juicy, life-changing shifts to occur... Get curious, what are the blocks of physical stuff holding back in your life? What potential magic is being unleashed when you intentionally choose to let go of the “excess baggage”? We would love to be part of your transformation--please reply if you would like support on your journey! Lots of Love, XOXO CLIENT LOVE:
Jane and I paid very close attention to enhancing the wealth chi in our home (and I’m not even finished with her suggestions)--I got a $2000 bonus this month! I’m a believer!!!! PHOTO CREDIT: 123rf We had some Halloween fun with our little “80’s Dancer” at the zoo this weekend! She loves to dance AND loves animals, so it was the perfect combo :) And now for our November addition to the “Year of Clearing”
If you’ve missed the others, here they are: Jan--Master Suite May--Kids Stuff September--The Basement Feb--Kitchen June - The Garage October - Crafts & Creative Spaces Mar--Family Room July - Office Apr--Linen Closet Aug--Entry/Mudroom Are old photos and/or mementos one of the categories of “stuff” that causes you stress? So many of our clients are right there, too. This category, of course, brings with it tons of emotion and is often the hardest. It’s the reason, as we go through someone’s home, that we say, “Put the mementos and photos together and put them aside until the end.” We deal with them all together AFTER we’ve built some muscle in the sorting and editing department! Photos-- Rough sort your photos into 2 categories--
