Hello Beautiful! How are you? I know, lots of big stuff going on in the world--I’m feeling it, too. Now that we’ve moved in and are mostly settled, I’m reconnecting with my yoga practice and walking in the State Park (now that it is in my backyard) and that seems to be helping. I’ve got some EXCITING projects coming up--keep your grapes peeled--can’t WAIT to share! Today, though, I wanted to show how working on even a teeny, tiny space can make a HUGE, life-changing difference…because Feng Shui Design is not just about making a space look beautiful, it’s also about changing the energy for the people who live (or work) in the space. We’ve been working with Kris and Jason for a very long time (years, but who’s counting?) going through their entire home, room by room, considering EVERYTHING. They have two kids and when we first met them their youngest was having some bathroom issues along with BIG, INTENSE FEELINGS about lots of things. Their powder room (right off of the kitchen) and the one that the kids used all of the time looked like this: BEFORE:  Challenges:
It was the kind of bathroom you wanted to get in and out of quickly. Their youngest (cutest little redhead you ever did see!) was spending more time there (potty training :) and it was really affecting him! I completely designed this bathroom for him, even though the rest of the family enjoys and uses it. AFTER:  Upgrades:
Results: The room has been transformed, and their youngest relaxed. He still has a fiery personality but EVERYTHING has calmed down for him (including the potty training!) Yes, he’s matured and grown up but I believe that tiny little bathroom was KEY to him being able to more easily take steps in that direction. One of the last times I was talking to Kris, he piped up and said he loved that wallpaper so much--he wished it could be in his bedroom--hear that, Mom? Hello Beautiful! I know I’ve been Missing-In-Action, but we have packed and moved and unpacked and painted and fixed and crushed cardboard and it’s been kind of A LOT! I missed you, though, and so many of you are asking how it’s going, soooooooooo, here’s an update (if you’ve got 5 minutes :) In another month, everything should be in place and ready for a virtual housewarming party--you will all be invited!
