Bob and I ventured out to do some early spring hiking at our favorite little waterfall spot last weekend--Pewit's Nest. It was Muddy, Icy and Chilly but SO GOOD to get outside for some nature vitamins! We are smack dab in the middle of the Transformational Feng Shui course--WOW! What fun and such amazing souls in the group! We started the class learning the RULES of Feng Shui--’cuz you have to lay the foundation before you build the house--right? It’s a funny thing balancing energy work (Feng Shui) with rules :) I see it like this: We westerners LOVE rules! We like information to be packed up neatly and delivered in measurable doses. However, Feng Shui has no rules--it’s about energy! And, this drives our Western minds a little crazy!!!! Because rules send us into thinking that the ideas are right or wrong--rules feel rigid--not vibrant at all--but, we have to start somewhere! Using the Bagua can be amazing! Understanding the 5 Feng Shui Elements is wonderful! I like to think of them as HELPFUL GUIDELINES, and used with a healthy dose of inspiration--AMAZING TOOLS! I’m in the “learn the rules so that you can break the rules” camp… Like a truly brilliant Painter who learns color, technique, theory...but in order to create her masterpiece, she’s inspired and the art flows as if from the divine--the rules are nowhere in sight, just FLOW. So, learn the rules and tools of the Bagua and Elements and then use your INTUITION!
I do believe we are being called, more and more, to tune into this amazing gift that we were all born with...can you feel it? Practice this by walking into your home this week wearing your Feng Shui goggles, with your heart and eyes wide open--what do you feel and what do you see from this broader perspective? Grasp the rules, the foundational pieces, so that you can layer them with your intuition and how you’re FEELING. Most important--have FUN with Feng Shui and reply to the email if you want support and guidance for tuning into your home. I would LOVE to meet you! Lots of Love, XOXO
