Hello Everybody! Bob (lovely husband) and I and lots of our family traveled to Boulder this weekend for daughter, Morgan,’s baby shower! So Much Fun!!!! (Morgan’s the one without a child strapped to her :) But, it’s a new week, so back to business! We are continuing our Feng Shui tour of Nancy and Sandy’s adorable Cape Cod home with the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT FENG SHUI ENHANCEMENT we made in their home--knocking out a closet. And, you may be saying to yourself, “How can knocking out a closet make a big difference?” So, imagine the entry--walk into the front door (it swings right). The entry area is about 36” x 36”--teensytiny. As the door opens, it barely swings past the steps UP to the upper level directly in front of you and bangs into a closet door on the right. The living room is to your left. The entry feels small, cramped and the flow is restricted because the door hits the closet. Any doors that bang into each other represent “fighting energy” and can create disagreements or arguments between people who live there. It looked like this: Sandy had said on our initial call, “And, we’re NOT going to knock down any walls…”, so, my first suggestion was to put a mirror on the closet door, always a good “aspirin” for a Feng Shui Challenge. But I quickly followed with, “If we could do anything, I would remove the closet…” Because, in this case, the “aspirin” of adding a mirror was NOT going to be enough--the real “cure” was to knock the closet out (I know, radical, especially in Wisconsin where coats are often a necessity). A good discussion ensued...
SO MUCH to consider! But everyone could FEEL the difference it would make, even before we did a thing... Once that closet was gone, we could all BREATHE! It was as if an obstruction in the windpipe of the house had been knocked out and the air could FINALLY flow! So, now, instead of going through the living room, taking the back hall to the kitchen and the dead end dining area, and then having to retrace your steps to get back out, you can complete the circle and end up at the front door again! AHHHHHHHHH! Can you feel it? A Feng Shui Magical Moment! Here are a few more pictures of the before and after of the kitchen and dining areas: BEFORE: AFTER: Additional Feng Shui Upgrades to the Kitchen and Dining Areas:
(Future plans MAY include painting the kitchen cupboards--stay tuned :) The house is happy! The clients are happy! The frequency of the home is WAAAAAY higher than it was before the remodel. If you’re considering a remodel OR want a boost in the frequency of your space AND your life, please consider sending me a message, I would LOVE to chat with you! This week, put your Feng Shui goggles on, what’s one thing you could do (eliminating clutter definitely counts) to boost your chi of your kitchen or dining area? Lots of Love, XOXO Click Here to Forward our newsletter to a Friend :)
