5 Tips for Wallpaper-WOW!

Bob (lovely husband) and I are off on another adventure this week, YAYAYAYAYAY!
Picture
We’re headed to Tennessee to tromp around the Great Smoky Mountains for 9 days.

Annnnnd, that’s the extent of the plan--well, we did get a hotel room in Nashville for the first night--we watch the weather, do whatever feels like FUN, go with the flow and spend as much time as possible outdoors. The best kind of vacation for us!

In other news, Kelly and I met with Jim, or favorite contractor, for breakfast last week. We chatted about a couple of projects in the works and the subject of wallpaper came up…

“Is wallpaper back IN?”, he asked, with a confused look on his face...

Jim, I’m so happy you asked!

Recently, I have found myself recommending wallpaper and wallpaper murals to clients for these specific reasons--maybe they will apply to you, too!

1.Cozy up a large room~
Wallpapering a large room is like throwing a huge quilt around it! Wallpapering a room like this takes care of a vacant or cold feeling and gives you warmth, comfort and FUN!

2.Bring ZING to a forgotten space~
Wallpapering the back wall of a closet gives an instant AHHHHHHH! (or squeal of delight) every time you open the door. (Could be used as your incentive/celebration AFTER editing the space.)

3.Bathrooms are Boring~
It’s FUN to put up some wallpaper in small rooms that typically feel utilitarian. The small space lends itself to whimsy, or a bit of extravagance.

4.Correct for a Missing Feng Shui Element~
Sometimes we need help enhancing or balancing the elements.

An example: The Feng Shui of ANY entryway corresponds to CAREER and WATER is its corresponding element.

Imagine a very small entryway (real life example) with room for only one wall mirror and big wooden doors on the other three walls. A tight squeeze, at best!

To enhance this entry, we’re adding this wallpaper (called “Waves” by Schumacher) as a WATER enhancement. Fresh! Beautiful! And going up TODAY!!!!

5.Weak or Missing Art~
Add a wallpaper MURAL or one wall of wallpaper as a replacement for art. This gives you the abundant feeling of art in a BIG way for a fraction of the cost.

Used behind a bed to extend the headboard energy:

These are the top 5 reasons I use wallpaper with my Feng Shui clients.

Let me know if you are interested in your own energy upgrade--you never know, it may involve wallpaper!

PS: (Attn: Apartment Dwellers) Look for strippable wallpaper that comes down in minutes--I’ve got you covered--HAHA, covered, get it?

I’ll be on vacation next week and back in your inbox on March 29th!

Lots of Love,
XOXO
