Would You Pay to Move That? A Feng Shui Wake-Up Call

My mentor used to say,
“Clean your home like GOD is coming.”

Whoa. That’s intense, right? It was always a little ‘fire-and-brimstone’ for my taste, so occasionally I’ve said:
“Clean your home like Oprah is coming…”

Ahhh, now, that version felt fabulous, motivational, and full of good lighting.

But recently I stumbled upon an idea that gave me a whole new perspective:

“Go through your home once a year like you’re ABOUT TO MOVE.”

And I thought—YES.
That hits.

We’ve had three clients move recently (plus another one on deck), and let me tell you,
Nothing gets you honest about your stuff faster than thinking about putting it in a box, paying someone to carry it, and THEN unpacking it in a new place.

Suddenly, the baby stuff you still have even though the kids are in college?

Not worth the U-Haul space.

That pile of “someday crafts”?
Nope.
*Random cords from electronics you no longer own?
Bu-Bye.

Even if you’re not actually moving (and maybe you haven’t in decades), this mindset shakes things loose in the best possible way. It’s active, intentional, and fierce in a way that clears the energetic clutter and opens the door to clarity, flow, and possibility.

Here’s your Feng Shui mini-challenge:
Pick one area of your home—maybe your coat closet, an office drawer, or that shelf in the garage you’ve been ignoring since Obama was in office—and ask:

→Would I pay to move this?

→Would I be thrilled to see this in my next home?

→Is this {ITEM} moving me into my future?

If not, lovingly thank it and let it go.
