CLIENT SUCCESS STORY

A young couple, both veterinarians, contacted me because they had just purchased a veterinary clinic. The building was solid but the Dr. who owned it was near-retirement and the clinic was losing money and clients--both in a fairly steady stream...

I worked with these two go-getters on a variety of fronts:

1. Declutter and Organize--most of the rooms, closets, cabinets, drawers of this 4200 sq. ft. building were jammed and crammed with old, outdated and wholly unnecessary items. They worked first on this foundational piece to clear space and could start to feel things flow.

2. Plan new uses for their spaces--

Put products to sell all together near the check out station vs. having them scattered all over the place.
Organize back-up supply for the clinic and for sales.
Consider what the staff needed for a break room.
Create an enticing play area for kids NEAR the waiting area so they could be supervised.
Create an office for the vet techs to work.
Create a separate space for end-of-life pet appointments and acupuncture appointments.
Create a very professional office for the two of them to meet with staff, sales reps and get their own work done.
Create a space for doggie daycare and pet classes out of a basement space--more revenue!

3. Brainstormed ideas for how to enhance staff performance, keep staff morale high as they transitioned from the previous owner.

4. Design the space to give EVERYONE, staff, clients, animals, and owners a place that felt incredibly supportive and beautiful.

Dear Jane,

Now, let me tell you what has been going on as I Slowly transform my living space. My relationship with Brian has gotten so much more open and honest. We both have been through the ringer with past partners and we were very apprehensive about letting the other person “in” completely. That guarded behavior has caused some significant rifts over the past 5 years. The distance seems to be magically melting away and we are both better for it.

There is no doubt in my mind that the work I have been doing with you over the past year has created the dramatic shift in my life toward the positive.
