Twisted Grit Yoga Studio: A Before + After Transformation

When these two soulful yogis reached out for Feng Shui design help on their new studio space, I was ALL IN. Their vibe? Grit meets grounded. Movement meets meaning. Sweaty meets sacred.

But—oof—the space they inherited? Needed some serious energetic CPR.

🔥 Before: Fire Out of Balance

🔴 Red ceilings
🧡 Fiery orange or dull adobe walls
🔥 And yes—it was a hot yoga studio.
Which meant fire-on-fire-on-fire. Too much heat can burn out more than your muscles. It can scorch possibility. Agitate emotions. Leave you feeling ungrounded instead of restored.

No wonder the space struggled.

💧After: Flow, Calm, Connection

We cooled the space wayyyyy down…
Walls: True Blue (Water Element = flow, intuition, connection) and a very healthy “new sprout” Yellow (Earth and Wood elements = feeling grounded and stable)
Ceiling: a Pewter color (Metal Elements = clarity and strength). And a pastel Lavender = (more Metal energy assisting with focus)

Water supports flow, connection, and going inward—exactly what a yogi needs the moment they walk through the door. And Earth holds them in a grounded container. It's like the room itself is exhaling.

And guess what?

This hot yoga studio (yep, still hot—but now balanced) is thriving!
Expanding classes. Expanding services. Expanding impact.
