There’s nothing I love more than showing how a few smart Feng Shui shifts can completely change the feel of a space. Bedrooms, especially, are powerful—they hold our rest, our dreams, our relationships, and our health.
Take a look at this transformation:
Before: A beige-on-beige bedroom with hot halogen lights glaring down on the bed, an off-center window that threw the room off balance, and a bed placed in a position that felt anything but powerful.

After: A vibrant, balanced sanctuary where the bed is supported, the window issue is cleverly disguised, and the lighting feels soft and inviting. The whole room now radiates warmth, personality, and stability—reflecting my client’s fun, quirky spirit.

A Bedroom That Finally Feels Like Her
When I first walked into this bedroom, I could feel right away that something was off. The bed sat beneath a pair of hot, glaring halogen lights (ouch!). The walls were awash in beige—too much Earth element, leaving the space feeling heavy and flat. And the window, awkwardly off-center, threw the whole balance of the room out of whack. This room just didn’t feel quite right--you can feel it too, can’t you?
👉 Tip for you: If your bedroom feels unsettled, check the basics—bed placement, lighting, and wall color. These three things have a huge impact on how supported you feel.
The transformation began by moving the bed into the power position—that sweet spot where you can see the door but aren’t directly in line with it. Suddenly, the room felt safe, grounded, and intentional. We then dressed the wall with a luscious silk curtain that both concealed the off-center window and created a dramatic, balanced backdrop.
👉 Tip for you: If your window is off-center (or just plain awkward), consider using fabric or art to visually balance the wall.
Next came the headboard—a vibrant, sturdy piece that brought strength and personality. Gone were the harsh halogen lights; instead, we added pendant lights hung at just the right height for a softer glow. Now, instead of feeling like the room was bossing her around, my client said it felt like the room was finally hugging her back.
👉 Tip for you: Choose a solid headboard (no holes, bars, or slats) to give you a subconscious sense of support while you rest. And always aim for lighting that flatters, not floods.
This once-blah beige bedroom is now colorful, cheerful, and completely aligned with her spirit. It’s balanced, supportive, and a place she actually loves spending time in.
✨ Imagine walking into your bedroom at the end of the day and instantly feeling calm, supported, and inspired—yes, it’s possible! I help clients create spaces that feel just as good as they look (quirky, cozy, colorful, or serene—your vibe, elevated). If your bedroom could use a little magic, let’s chat and start designing the sanctuary you deserve.
