Now, let’s talk about Home Staging with Feng Shui Flair! Home staging is all about preparing your home to attract the perfect buyer and sell for the best price. I’m currently working with clients to stage a home that hits the market in a couple of weeks (fingers crossed!) and have another lined up this spring—I’ll keep you posted on how they go! When Feng Shui meets home staging, we approach it very differently. Instead of designing a space to support the current owner’s dreams, we’re now focusing on attracting the right new owner while making the process as smooth, prosperous, and stress-free as possible. Feng Shui is amazing at supporting this transition! Feng Shui Home Staging Tips for a Fast & Abundant Sale: 1. Clear the Clutter (ALL of It!) Yes, yes, I know—decluttering is a classic staging principle. But we’re taking it to the next level! It’s not just about clearing surfaces like counters, dressers, and bookshelves (though that’s a must!). It’s about purging everything—closets, dressers, cupboards, basements, garages, and even those off-site storage units. I can hear you now: But buyers won’t see inside my junk drawer! Maybe not, but they’ll feel it. Clutter holds stagnant energy, and potential buyers will subconsciously pick up on that. If you want top dollar for your home, you gotta clear it out! Start where buyers will look—closets, vanities, kitchen cupboards—then move to the unseen spots like dressers and storage bins. Do it in phases, keep it as fun as possible, and visualize your dream buyer falling in love with your space! 2. Clean Like Oprah Is Coming Every single inch of your home should sparkle. And it should smell divine! Use non-toxic cleaners like Thieves from Young Living (we have a great contact if you want some) or a gentle citrus-based cleaner to create that fresh, welcoming scent. This step is non-negotiable. A clean home feels different, and buyers will notice immediately. Don’t underestimate the power of a deep, soul-cleansing scrub! 3. Wash. The. Windows. Just trust me on this. Clean windows = brighter rooms, better energy flow, and more ka-ching in your sale price. Do it. You’ll thank me later. 4. Fix What’s Broken A wobbly towel bar, a missing piece of trim, that one kitchen drawer that never quite closes right—these little things add up energetically. In Feng Shui, broken = clutter and this creates a dip in energy. Even if buyers don’t consciously notice a loose tile, they’ll feel that something’s off. Walk through your home with “Feng Shui goggles” and fix every little thing. This simple step keeps your home’s energy high and inviting. 5. Create a Magnetic Entryway The entrance is everything in Feng Shui—it’s where energy (and buyers!) enter your home. If you have time for a full Feng Shui consultation, that’s ideal.
