Ever wondered how to map out your home’s energy with the Bagua, especially if your place is doing that whole multi-level-meets-labyrinth thing? You're not alone. I got this great question from Sam (Hi, Sam!), who’s renting a place with FOUR levels. Yes, four! Plus a garage. So, the burning question: “How the heck do I apply the Bagua map to each floor? Or should I go room by room? HELP.” Fear not, brave souls. Feng Shui can totally handle your multi-level funky palace. Let’s break it down with the Bagua map—the magic tool that helps you decode the energy in your space (like Feng Shui GPS, minus the annoying “recalculating”). First Thing’s First: What’s the Bagua? For the uninitiated, the Bagua is a 9-square grid that looks kind of like a tic-tac-toe board but with more life-altering potential. Each square (or “gua”) corresponds to different areas of your life—career, relationships, health, wealth, etc. See Below: Now, here’s where the fun comes in: The Bagua can be applied in THREE ways depending on your home’s vibes!
Method 1: The Whole Property Method Start big, baby! You can stretch that Bagua right across your entire property—garage, garden, front porch, backyard jungle included. Imagine laying the map over your entire lot, with the bottom center (the “Career” area) aligned to the front of your property. Yes, even that patch of weeds counts! Method 2: The Whole House Method Now, zoom in a bit. Picture the Bagua map overlaying your ENTIRE house. But here’s the catch—just because your house has multiple levels doesn’t mean you need to get out your architectural compass! You’ll have to activate your feng shui X-ray vision and visualize the Bagua stretching across all the levels. If the back right corner of your house is the “Relationships” area, it doesn’t matter if that’s in your attic or basement—it’s still romantic real estate. Method 3: Room-by-Room Mapping (My Fave!) Here’s where it gets super fun and a little artsy! You can apply the Bagua to each room individually. Yes, you can go micro! Just stand at the entrance of a room, align the map, and voilà—each room has its own energy zones. Wanna boost your wealth? Check out the far left corner of your home office. Need a creativity jolt in the kitchen? Peek at the right-center section. But Wait, There’s a Twist! 🌀 Spoiler alert: Almost NO house is a perfect, flat, square grid. Real-life Feng Shui? It’s way more like finger-painting! You’re not gonna slice your house into perfect little squares. You’ll have to blend, blur, and sometimes feel into how energy flows. It’s a fun puzzle, trust me. For homes like Sam’s—multi levels, funky corners, “what even IS this room?”—the trick is to feel into the space. Yup, you’ll need to get intuitive. You might find that different floors lean more toward certain guas (like maybe the basement really vibes with “health” and the top floor feels like “fame and reputation”). Final Words of Feng Shui Wisdom There’s no one-size-fits-all formula when applying the Bagua. You can start big and go small, or focus on what feels “off” in each space. Homes have personalities, just like us! And the Bagua? It’s your feng shui playbook, not a strict rulebook. So, Sam, give it a try! Layer the Bagua over your whole house, or zoom in room by room. Either way, you’ll start feeling the vibes, and soon that split-level will feel like a flowy sanctuary. If anyone else has questions, please contact me—I’m always up for more feng shui adventures! Blank walls, stale air, and a space that feels far from inspiring? Well, think again! We recently had the opportunity to give a standard open space the ultimate glow-up using a little Feng Shui magic. And guess what? This is no ordinary before-and-after story. Let’s dive in! Before: Bland, Blank, and Begging for Some Feng Shui Picture this: a large, open office space with the charm of a cardboard box ⬆️ It had the essentials but lacked personality—definitely not the kind of space that screams, “Come in and feel amazing!” But that’s exactly where the fun begins. (And if you live in the Madison area, and you really want to check out Shannon’s amazing services, you can contact her HERE) 🎶🎶🎶Cue the Feng Shui soundtrack 🎶🎶🎶 With the intention to transform this ordinary office into a warm, vibrant sanctuary where healing and inspiration flow freely, a new wall was introduced. Yes, you heard that right! This thoughtfully placed wall wasn’t just a physical addition—it became a powerful tool to guide and direct energy, nurturing both practitioners and clients alike. By shaping the flow of chi, the wall helped create a sense of balance and protection, subtly preparing clients to feel calm and at ease, even before stepping into their treatment rooms. And the result? A serene, grounded space where the experience of healing begins the moment you walk in. After: A Space That’s Got Your Back—Literally! Now fast-forward to the present, where colors, art, mirrors, and plants have all aligned for one epic energy shift. Shannon, along with her colleagues, now support their clients’ well-being in an environment that exudes comfort, vitality, and flow. Walk into their new office, and you’ll feel the energy shift the moment you step in! Deep purple and golden yellow paint colors create a balance between calm and vibrancy, with mirrors carefully placed to improve the flow—an element Shannon was once skeptical about :) But guess what? The mirrors made a believer out of her! What Shannon Has to Say: Feng Shui in Action Shannon shared her glowing feedback after experiencing the space firsthand: “The energy of this space is definitely different than in our old offices! We are all learning the new rhythm, potential, and flow of it. I have heard your words of wisdom: 'the space has your back' many times as I navigate this new terrain and settle into the new space. As much as I felt resistance and trepidation in the design process, you hung in there and let the energy of our intentions lead the way. You have made me a believer in the art of Feng Shui! I even like the mirrors now!!!” Why Feng Shui Matters: It’s More Than Just Moving Furniture Feng Shui isn’t just about rearranging things—it’s about crafting energy flow to support your intentions. In Shannon’s case, the space was designed to support healing, deep communication, and a peaceful atmosphere. Now, it’s not just an office; it’s an experience. One that supports Shannon, her team, and their clients in the work they do, day in and day out. Also, stay tuned for next week--where we will showcase the treatment rooms! Ready to transform your space with Feng Shui? Let the energy shift begin! 🌟 Lots of Love, XOXO #FengShuiMagic #OfficeGlowUp #TransformYourSpace Ah, the home office—the place where emails fly, ideas bloom, and yes, sometimes chaos reigns. But what if this space could be more than just a work zone? What if it became a space where productivity met tranquility? That was the goal of my client's Feng Shui office transformation! Before: In the 'Before' photos (which we’ll lovingly call Exhibit A and Exhibit B), you can see the space had the essentials—a desk, a chair, bookshelves, monitors, and even a cozy reading nook. But it felt stuck! Here’s what we were dealing with:
After: The Feng Shui Fabulousness Enter the transformation! Cue the after photo—drumroll, please! Now, the office feels completely different. The energy flows, the space invites productivity, and my client’s creativity is fully in motion. Let’s break down the magic behind this Feng Shui upgrade.
This transformation turned a disjointed room into a balanced and inspiring space. By aligning the desk, clearing clutter, and bringing in light and color, the energy now flows effortlessly. My client has noticed a marked improvement in productivity and an overall sense of well-being while working from this revitalized space. Sometimes, all it takes to spark new ideas and fresh momentum is a little Feng Shui magic. The difference between a functional room and a room that invites creativity, focus, and success is more than just furniture—it's about aligning your environment with the energy you want to cultivate. If you're looking to revamp your own workspace, take a cue from this transformation: invite in the light, embrace color, and let the positive energy flow. Your home office can be more than just a place to work—it can be a sanctuary for success. My client's office transformation shows the power of Feng Shui in creating a space that is not just functional, but flourishing. Here's to more balanced, energized workdays!
