Hello Friends! Today, I wanted to share a completed Main Bedroom transformation in St. Louis… First let me tell you a little bit about our client… She is single, and moved to an adorable home in an up-and-coming neighborhood--upgrades are happening all around her, including a french bakery on the next corner--Oooooo lala! Her kids are now grown and on their own and she is MORE THAN READY for a fresh new place to live as she begins this new, fab phase of her life. Her Feng Shui requests were support for abundance, health and ROMANCE! This is the before shot of her bedroom:  She sent this pic to me as she was looking at the house… “My bedroom??? What do you think?” My answer: “Well...here are the challenges:
Later we discussed... This basement bedroom (unless it’s really, really, really WOW!) will never call you down, you will have to make an appointment--to go down the steps, to the cement floor, make a hairpin turn at the bottom of the steps and go down a long narrow hall to get there--all of that requires effort. And it's an effort that we are usually NOT WILLING to make...the only exception is if we pull out all the stops and GO FOR IT!!!!! And, she did...  Here are the highlights:
What’s coming next for her? Whatever it is, it’s FABULOUS! You can just FEEL it, can’t you? Also, I should mention that this project has been virtual. An awesome example of what’s possible in “virtual mode”. We had THE BEST TIME in Janesville last Saturday giving a talk to some new friends at Anne Rosa Interior Designs. Welcome to the family! For this talk, we focused on “The Power of Decluttering”--the side of Feng Shui that opens our eyes to how clutter can affect us in so many different ways and WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT!!!! We’ve already heard from Ruth and Anne that they’ve started projects and even Anne’s daughter, Maria, was planning to go through her room and give her Duplo toys to her little cousin! For example, if you have the urge to enhance your space, either through Feng Shui Design or Decluttering, it’s because your home is No Longer a Match to YOU. Your personal vibration is HIGHER than that of your home. (Let that sink in…) Your clutter, paint colors, or even the arrangement of items in your home is a drag, pulling you backwards or making you feel STUCK or out of alignment somehow. If you decide to declutter or purchase upgrades for your home yourself, you will MATCH your current vibration and your home will feel better, but (and this is where it gets tricky) the feeling will last for only for a short while--we’re always growing and changing, right? You will SOON OUTGROW your current choices... OUR GOAL is to work with you to create a space that is AT LEAST 3-5 years into YOUR FUTURE with the messages for your dreams woven right into the fabric of the Feng Shui Enhancements--whether they are clutter clearing enhancements or design. And yes, this may feel a little unsettling at first, but for those who feel the urge to jump in and DO IT(!) just know that your environment will have the ability to carry and support you joyfully into your future. Then, (WATCH OUT!) the things you dream of will start to manifest--it’s kind of like removing a big branch that’s blocking the stream, life begins to flow more effortlessly and may surprise you seemingly out of nowhere! She also decided to only shop from a very short list of “necessities” for one year, consciously choosing NOT to acquire anything else in that time period. She reported some amazing results:
As I was reading, I was nodding along because not only have I seen those same kinds of AMAZING results for our clients; we often ask clients that very question as we begin working together... “How much of this can go?” “What’s the percentage?” The answers range anywhere from 10-75% One recent Feng Shui design client, Lori, said “50%” immediately upon me asking...she didn’t even have to think. As we looked in her closets, pantry, on top of her desk and dining table, we could see that IF 50% was cleared out of the storage spaces then ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING that was sitting out in her living space (if she is keeping it) would have a home. AHHHHHHHHHH!!!! That’s when we started dreaming about how good it could really be! If 50% of her stuff is gone and everything’s put away...then the next step was to put together a Feng Shui Design that would infuse her space with empowerment, abundance, connection, and health (Lori’s requests)... Look out world! I will be sending you pictures as soon as the Feng Shui design project is complete. Lori has a fire inside--she is going after her clutter ON HER OWN--not an easy task! She’s using the re-design and the BIG dreams for her future as incentive to clear it out. If you have a moment, send her some clutter-clearing-love--we can all be with her in spirit!
