Sooooo, dated wallpaper clinging on for dear life, a vanity that had seen better decades, vinyl flooring that whispered “I was trendy once”, and a basic shower insert that got the job done but didn’t exactly spark joy. And because this space is in the lower level, it needed a serious chi boost—basements, by nature, can feel heavy, like they’re pulling energy downward instead of lifting it up. The After: Oh, but now? Now, this space SINGS. 🎶✨

This bathroom was no exception—a space with good bones but ready for a thoughtful transformation. With a bit of vision and care, it was time to bring in a lighter, fresher energy that honored both its past and its potential.
Before: This bathroom had its own story to tell, and like many spaces, it was ready for a refresh. The earthy brown walls created a grounded but heavy vibe, and the artwork quietly blended into the background. The well-loved ceramic tile floor showed its age, while the shower rod and ceiling hinted at a need for some TLC. The room felt as though it was patiently waiting for its next chapter, ready to be renewed and uplifted.   After: Cue the makeover magic! We gave this bathroom a fresh Feng Shui upgrade, and WOW, did the chi come alive. First, we continued the sleek black tile from the main floor right into the bathroom. It’s like the space finally remembered it was allowed to be stylish. Then came the wallpaper—a whimsical mix of woods and stars. This wasn’t just about prettying things up; it was about bringing in balance. The wood energy (think growth and upward movement) paired with hints of fire energy (sparks of inspiration) lit up the room. The ceiling? Soft rosy pink—a color whispering sweetness and gentle joy overhead. Repairs got done (goodbye broken shower rod!), and even though the vanity with its granite top stayed put, the room felt completely transformed. We re-used art from the main living space, creating a playful totem over the toilet—because why not make every corner meaningful? And a fun print found its place, energetically pulling you into the space with vibrant charm. The Chi Shift: The result? A bathroom with a whole new vibe—uplifting, balanced, and fully in harmony with the home. It’s a reminder that even small spaces can pack a powerful energetic punch.
