Hello Beautiful! We got to see all four of these munchkins this past week--So Lucky!!!! (Old enough to write secret messages and handle ice cream cones--life is gooooooood!) Today, I want to focus JUST on your front door--in Feng Shui, this is the most important part of the bagua (the ancient treasure map to your dreams:) Your front door, otherwise known as “The Mouth of Chi”, is where everything flows in--your health, your money, your relationships, friends, spirituality, creativity and more! First let’s take a peek at your clutter--clutter at the front door, both inside and out, can seriously BLOCK all the goodness from flowing in--can you feel it in this image(?) --it’s hard to get past, around or through this closet, even with the door shut!!! IF you have a front closet situation like this, let’s clear it out so that there’s S-P-A-C-E and FLOW. Remember--leave 10% of the space OPEN for the good things to come. {I can see working with this particular closet in three parts--the top shelf, the hanging items and the things on the floor. IF you need a clutter-clearing checklist to support you as you clear out your own space, message me, I’ll send it to you!} Check the outside of your front door, as well--what is blocking the path to your door? Toys, pet items (especially doo doo cans), garbage, gardening tools and overgrown or dead shrubbery/plants are some possibilities Clear the path to your door so that the energy can find you without any trouble--remember EVERYTHING MATTERS! Just attending to the clutter will be a HUGE boost for you-- If you want to go further, though, consider ADDING Feng Shui enhancements: INSIDE: ~Place a mirror inside your front door where you can experience it as soon as you come in. In Feng Shui Mirrors = Water Energy and this improves the FLOW of things, all things, into your home-- ~Consider painting the walls of your entry a “Water” color (blues and blueish greens) or consider wallpaper with these features. ~Add something made from stone or metal (such as a metal console) to enhance the water energy--(rocks/metal “sweat” and create MORE water and more flow for you!) ~Put something BEAUTIFUL or FUN in your cleared-out closet :) Outside: ~Paint your Front Door an auspicious color--something that will be easily noticed from the street, especially if the entry to your home is recessed--as passer-bys glance in the direction of your home admiringly, you automatically get a deposit into your energy account! ~Upgrade the landscaping on the way to your front door and attend to it so there’s a feeling of bounty and beauty-- ~Place 2 matching pots to expand your front door energy--as big as you can find--with GORGEOUS flowers to draw the energy to you-- There! Feels better, doesn’t it? Let me know if you’re inspired to make any of these changes in your space--I always enjoy hearing from you :) Also, I would LOVE to assist you in making a beautiful entry to your home--send me a message if you’re interested in connecting! Hello Beautiful! I was in Arizona a couple of weeks ago, amongst the cacti :) working with a couple of amazing clients who are getting ready to move to new locations this month--what a wonderfully successful week getting their homes ready for the transition--now they’re feeling SO MUCH lighter as they leap into their next adventures--good luck!!! (Me, trying to take a selfie that would also give you an idea of how GIGANTIC the cacti are!) Today, though, I want to share a Feng Shui Design upgrade--how we used a stunning mural to keep the energy IN a home. This home is GORGEOUS and brand-spanking new. Before I met this family, they had done nearly 85% of the design work and were very happy with how it had turned out. They called because the energy work of Feng Shui design resonated with them--they got CURIOUS to experience further enhancements for their new home and their lives! Today, I want to highlight just ONE of the spaces in their home that we concentrated on…the mural in the staircase. They live on a beautiful property with windows all across the back of the house--it would be so easy to “go outside” (for real, in nice weather--because, WHOA, their patio, pool and backyard are AMAZING--and energetically ALL the time) and skip over the beautiful house! Of course we want them to enjoy the outdoors, but for an energetic BALANCE, this was an opportunity to keep the energy IN the house--here’s what we did… In the center of the home is a staircase to the lower level--and that giant two-story wall faces you as you walk in the front door. (Before) It’s nothing to look at, right? And so, energetically, you travel right on past it to the back of the home, skipping over the kitchen, the beautiful fireplace and living room, too. We added this GORGEOUS agate mural and the fantastic company we work with, Murals Your Way, actually mirrored it vertically so that we got this beautiful result going all the way down the stairs: AFTER It was applied in one piece (if you can believe that!!!!) by our amazing craftsman, Russ. And the result is STUNNING! Now when you walk in the front door, you have this strong image drawing you into the house but KEEPING you there--of course, it’s much more amazing in person--I wish we could all take a field trip :)
This is just one example of how balancing the energy of a space can reap fabulous results--I hope you enjoyed this transformation! If you have renovation ideas of your own, feel like something’s a little “off” in your home or just want to hear more about how Feng Shui works :) feel free to email me here to set up a phone call--I would love to hear about what’s going on your YOUR home! Lots of Love, XOXO Hello, Beautiful! Let’s dive right in, today… Do you have clutter? Is it talking to you? If so, are you listening? In Feng Shui, Clutter is closely connected to HEALTH and if you have clutter, usually you can FEEL it. It drags you down and might make you feel sad, sleepy, stressed or anxious. If you have a lot of clutter, remember just start small, set your timer for 10-20 minutes and “go”! The “Take it in Small Bites” approach really works!!!! Here’s what one of our Clutter Clearing Circle participants who used that approach said last month: “For over two years I had a desk I could not sit at because it was so out of control with many piles of papers and boxes on it. Every time I wanted to clean the desk, I was overwhelmed by the piles. I found it difficult to motivate myself and I kept putting it off. I was excited when Jane offered the virtual Clutter Cleaning Circle. She gave us many tips, including how to declutter our space without becoming overwhelmed. With Jane’s technique of working in short time bursts, it was amazing how much I could accomplish! By the conclusion of the follow-up Clutter Cleaning Circle a month later, I had completely cleaned off my desk!” —JM IF you are ready for a FUN and EASY and FREE way to get some support as you move through your stickiest spaces--kitchen, garage, office, basement, mementos, dining room, closets… Join us next week for our “GET-IT-DONE!” CLUTTER CLEARING CIRCLE Friday, April 29th at 12pmCT/1pmET

See you Friday, April 29th! Lots of Love, XOXO Hello Beautiful! The SUN came out over the weekend! So I got out my sunglasses, ditched the giant sleeping bag coat and got out for a couple of walks--felt so good and was a great way to recharge my batteries--wish you were here to go for a walk with me! Today I wanted to share one room of a whole house project that I thought you would LOOOOOOOVE to see… This cute couple, Kathy and Aaron… …had one of those houses that needed a ton of TLC. They had sent their son off to college, have been BUSY with careers and a little more than a year ago, noticed that it WAS TIME to give their home some love, too. As you can tell from the picture, these two are fun, active, outdoorsy and totally up for anything! We have worked through their entire space and are just finishing up the kitchen details this week. Today, though, I wanted to show you just the Dining Room transformation--don’t worry, there’s more coming :) BEFORE: This space presents some unique challenges! Even though one end is open to the Living Room, and there’s a 5 foot doorway to the kitchen and a lot of windows to the deck, this room still felt STUCK. That “dead end” energy at the back of the room felt like a “chi trap” (nowhere to go)--the images on the wall were tiny and even though they had just upgraded the lighting, the space felt dark--mostly due to the wall paint which was (too) earthy and low vibing. AND, guess what? This space was rarely used and tended to collect “junk”. AFTER:
The table and light remained the same. The BIGGEST chi hit is the birch tree mural at the back of the room WITH a mirror to bounce the light around. New paint colors 🤩 and most of all now a BALANCE of elements creating a space that feels fun and alive. Kathy just told me that now they eat in the dining room--even if it’s just the two of them--and as you can see the “junk” is non-existent… That’s the magic of Feng Shui--an elementally balanced space, the use of high vibing colors and especially in this room--correcting for the stuck feeling of the blank wall in the back. This creates a space that attracts people to use it, to stay and enjoy AND a space that feels so special that it also doesn’t attract clutter. Do you have a room or area in your home that needs an energetic boost? Feel free to reach out if you would like to discuss your thoughts on a project, I always LOVE to hear what’s going on in your home or office! Lots of Love, 💗💗💗💗💗 Hello Beautiful! After what seemed like 6 YEARS of winter, Bob and I went up to Devil’s Lake State Park for a hike in the sun ☀️ what a gorgeous place--I always forget the amazing beauty of that place! *************** *Home Staging refers to preparing your home to sell so that it appeals to the perfect potential buyers and sells for the highest price… I just finished staging a home for sale and have 2-3 more on my schedule this spring--the one we just completed goes on the market tomorrow, so, I’ll keep you posted! A few pics below--clean, clear and inviting! When Feng Shui is involved in home staging, we are approaching it in a very different way. We are still working for our clients (as we do when we are designing their homes) to support their dreams (and lives) to blossom--but NOW our focus is on selling their home and feeling abundant in the process--Feng Shui supports this beautifully! Feng Shui Principles to Use in Staging a Home for Sale Clear the clutter--Not only will you clear the clutter off of ALL SURFACES like counters, dressers, credenzas and desks (which is a typical staging principle) but clear the clutter out of the unseen spaces as well, closets, dressers, cupboards, bookshelves, garages, attics, basements AND off-site storage lockers. I know what you’re thinking…all of those unseen places don’t matter. But remember, EVERYTHING MATTERS and even if a potential buyer can’t see it, they can FEEL it. And clutter is the #1 block to making your dreams come true! If you dream of selling your home for top dollar, it has to be done :) Start with the places that buyers would look – like closets, vanities and kitchen cupboards and then move to places they wouldn’t necessarily look like dressers, credenzas, and toy boxes. If you have the luxury of time, do this in phases and make it as FUN as possible--keeping your DREAM of the perfect buyer at the perfect price as your motivation!!!! Clean--Not only does everything have to be spotless but it should smell good, too! Depending on your religious/political beliefs--clean like God/The Obamas are coming--every nook and cranny, even those that are unseen. Use a non-chemical cleaner (like Thieves from Young Living--contact Connie if you’re interested in trying some) or something softly citrus-y to make your home smell AHHHHH-MAZING! Do not underestimate the power of this step!!!!! Wash the Windows! This action will reap more rewards than you could ever imagine--just do it! Fix broken things--Is the bathroom towel bar have a jiggle? Do you have a loose tile in the kitchen? A missing strip of wood around the basement door? Is EVERYTHING solid and in good shape? In Feng Shui, broken things = CLUTTER. You can just feel the chi go down when you see or even think of broken things in your home. Believe me, even if potential buyers don’t consciously notice, they will NOTICE and it will bring their energy down too--placing your home in a less favorable light. Sometimes, as homeowners, we focus on the “BIG THINGS” and forget about the little stuff, but it all matters. So, put your Feng Shui goggles on and take a tour of your home noting everything that needs repair. And then FIX IT! Entry/Approach--If you have time for a true Feng Shui consultation to balance the elements and move items around for optimal flow and chi, it will greatly enhance the appeal of your home. If not, pay particular attention to the Entry to your home-- On the inside--remove the clutter (obvi), place a mirror (as big as you can) near the front door--ideally where you can experience it as you first walk in to increase the water element and “flow” at the point where all of the energy comes into your home. This is a HUGE enhancement and can support the flow of everything--Abundance, Health, Money, Relationships and more. On the outside--Clear the path to your door so that the energy can find you EASILY--wash the front door, give it a fresh coat of paint if you can, put beautiful flowers near the door and remove ANYTHING that could feel like a block--trash, dead plants, broken things and kid or dog toys lying around. Make it EASY for the energy (and the prospective buyers) to get to your door and feel welcome as soon as they enter. Let me know if you apply any of these tips to your home--you don’t have to be selling to benefit! And, as always, if you would like to chat about your projects, please reach out, I would LOVE to talk with you! Lots of Love,
XOXO Hello Beautiful! The youngest of our grandbabies--Campbell and Lucille--turned 3 this past week! (I can hardly believe it…) Even though it snowed in Wisconsin today--it FEELS like spring and it also feels like it’s time to clear stagnant and stuck energy in your home--you know, that “Spring Cleaning” (or Spring Clutter-Clearing) thing… We have had two AMAZING Virtual Clutter Clearing Circles--in February and March and plan to continue for at least one more month--info below--get it on your calendar if you’re interested!!!! ************************ In working with clients, we OFTEN run into a section of “Kid Art”--this can be piles of old artwork, tubs of kid artwork or just artwork pinned up on bulletin boards, refrigerators, walls, etc. Clients want to keep it all (or most of it) mostly for sentimental reasons and because their precious children, grandchildren, nieces/nephews made it and brought it home for them! It’s hard!!!!!! You don’t just want to “throw it away” but also, you definitely CAN’T keep it all and compromise the chi in your space. I have two BEAUTIFUL solutions to this dilemma for you! And, if you don’t have kids of your own, perhaps you know someone who would love this info…
What a fun and beautiful--highly energetic--way of saving and ENJOYING kid art. Because if it’s in a tub in the basement, you can’t really enjoy it!
Enjoy selecting your favorites and leave the work to someone else--you will LOVE the results from either of these options and the best part? No More Art Clutter for you to contend with--feels SO GOOD!!!!! Do you have any other great ideas for handling this category of clutter? If so, I would love to hear from you--also, let me know if you try either of these options I would also love to see the results! Lots of Love, XOXO PS: Our next Clutter Clearing Circle (virtual work session) will be Friday, April 29th, 2022 at 12pmCT--Our topic will be “Closing the Circle”--I hope you can make it!

See you Thursday, Feb 17th! Lots of Love, XOXO Hello Beautiful! Hope you’ve had a good week and are moving through the holiday season with your antlers securely fastened :) Today we are taking a quick look at a Main Bedroom Ensuite and the phases we have implemented to make this BIG project feel doable. The bedroom side (and most of the rest of the house) was completed in Phase 1. The ensuite bathroom, however, was only given a fresh coat of paint to wait for the opportunity to REALLY upgrade this space. BEFORE: AFTER (Phase 1): So, the adjoining bathroom is NEXT! And this short video will give you a peek into the material choices and upgrades that will make this bathroom feel AMAZING! The ensuite should feel like it is an energetic match to the bedroom--removing the giant jet tub, adding a custom double shower, a sauna, gorgeous tile, upgraded vanity mirrors and lighting will give us the “chi hit” (energy augmentation) that will really rock this space. Initial Design Board: Can’t wait to get started on this project and give you the full tour as soon as it’s complete!
