BEYOND Grateful!

I’m over the moon EXCITED to welcome our new subscribers this week, most of whom came from the Women’s Expo Event on Saturday!
Picture
Thank you very much for attending--the Women’s Expo was AMAZING, wasn’t it? Brava really out-did themselves this year, so many wonderful vendors and opportunities all in one place--woohoo!

And, it was awesome to see each and every one of you in the audience. I hope you’re enjoying the Design Essentials Kit e-book. If you have any questions about it or anything we covered on Saturday, please hit reply to this email--I always answer my emails!

And now a brief Thanksgiving message--dinner for 20 (with help this year:) coming up!
Picture

When you close your eyes and picture your stuff, where are you “STUFFING” it? What is it exactly? Can you smell it? Can you taste it? What flavor is it?

  • Do you opt for the tang of basement boxes from long ago, (The last move perhaps?) Are they downstairs, letting off steam and over-cooking in the darkness?

  • Do you go for the zing and the sting of a jam-packed closet--clothes simmering well past the ding of the timer?

  • Do you fancy the pungency and saltiness of an overflowing kitchen with pans in the garage because there’s no room in the cupboards for them?

  • Do you prefer the wallop of an office peppered with papers, papers and more papers. All piled up, marinating, and leaning toward the recycle bin?

  • Would you rather taste the bitterness of photos and mementos stuffed in the great grandma’s trunk in the attic? Slathered with a side of guilt?

  • OR Do you desire to savor the sweetness of a home that tastes, feels and smells just right, perfectly balanced to support you and your life ahead? SAUCY! With just the right amount of ZEST!

Kelly and I would love to help you get there, it’s a commitment, for sure, but it’s work that will provide you benefits and shifts that you may not even dream of right now. Plus, it’s FUN! (Well, I can guarantee that we will laugh at least once :))

Here’s to a Tasty Thanksgiving--I’m BEYOND GRATEFUL for your presence in my email community, without you, who would I write to?

Lots of love,
XO
Jane

PS: I will be “family-ing” this week, so answering emails will be on hold until next Monday--enjoy your week!

SUCCESS STORY:
“Jane, The chandelier went up today, Our dining room is ready for Thanksgiving and beyond! It was your vision to create that gorgeous combination of modern AND classy for a very long time. I am SO GRATEFUL! The new light sings to the chandelier in the kitchen and looks amazing from the living room doorway, too. It is PERFECT.”

SUCCESS STORY:

I LOVE hearing from you (all of you)!!!! It totally makes my day.

Here’s a fun email I received from Dan (Hi, Dan!), who lives in Michigan:

“You know something Jane? You are right about the clutter issue...I can not believe all the crap I am finding while getting the house ready for a possible sale. Why did I keep a broken insulated cup? What do I need with two extra cup lids that don’t seem to fit anything? What am I doing with a bar tool set that I got while selling cars in 1979? I barely drink!?

Dishes upon dishes that we never use and never will.  My plan is to put all this stuff in boxes marked rummage and cart it off to my daughter’s house (she has a big sale every year). If it doesn’t sell it’s not coming back into the house. At least not MY house.

Right now I have over half the cabinets in the kitchen cleared out with just the stuff going to rummage.  I’m leaving only the things we really use and need until we move. Then, when it’s time to move I can quickly pack the rest up. I did find a bottle of Southern Comfort with a date of 1979 on it. I don’t think that stuff gets better with age. Best of all, a bottle of “Elvis” brand wine. I have no idea where that even came from. Saving that one.

Oh, I have five coffee makers. Yup, five. I’m going to get rid of some of them….but I really do like coffee. ?????”

8 Tips for Feng Shui (Master Bedroom) Magic

11/11/2016

Here’s some baby love--Jude, helping with dinner/exploring kale. And, yes, this kitchen is on the list for upgrades--coming soon, excited to share!
Picture
This week I’ve been honored to work with more than one client requesting Feng Shui Design for a Master Bedroom. A well feng shui-ed bedroom lures you in with both exciting and relaxing energy. It feels nourishing, harmonious, restful, sensual and inviting.

A beautiful challenge to balance these two energies!

To enhance your Master Bedroom consider applying these 8 tips:

  1. Clutter--Clear it out! Typical bedroom hotspots: under the bed, dressers, nightstands, closets. Be Ruthless--it’s INTERFERING with your sleep, intimacy, and health.
Picture
       2. TV, Computer, Exercise Equipment--They’ve gotta go! The good energy of a                          bedroom is destroyed when these items are present. In addition to high EMFs (not so            great for your health) they bring the energy of work, stress, bad news and are mainly            a distraction to your love life and your sleep.

       3. Air Quality--Open the windows regularly or use a high quality air purifier to refresh                the air and keep it full of oxygen. Relaxing, quality  Essential Oils are also a bonus to              your bedroom energy, Keep the concentration light and refreshing--consider                         Lavender, Angelica, or Stress-Away (Young Living Oils).
Picture
      4. Bed--Have your bed easily approachable from both sides, balance the   bed with                   matching bedside tables and avoid having the end of the bed in-line with the door.               Choose a beautiful, solid headboard, a good mattress and the best sheets you can               afford in natural cotton or linen.

        5. Bedroom Colors--Paint is a powerful tool--the information coded within the color                helps achieve a delicate balance between irresistible  and restorative energy in the              bedroom. It is also very personal--close your eyes and sink into the energy of any                  color you’re considering:   Does it hit the right note--do you find it irresistible and                    restful at the same time?
Picture
      6. Bedroom Art--Pay close attention to what is hanging on the walls of your bedroom.             Choose images that you would like to see happening in your life. Art with nourishing,             happy, beautiful energy. Unless you are choosing to be sad and lonely, let go of                     images that portray these feelings.
Picture
      7. Lighting--Light is our #1 nutrient and one of the strongest manifestations of energy.              Have several levels of lighting in your bedroom, Use dimmer switches to adjust lights,          consider candles for low lighting. Use lighting to create an intimate, warm, and                        healing space.
      8. Cozy Energy--Keep the doors closed at night for cozier energy. This includes the                  closet door, an en suite bathroom door and the door to your room. Open doors cause          an energy draft which causes the good energy to exit rather than nourishing and                    strengthening you.

The perfectly Feng Shui-ed bedroom will be different for everyone--Dream into how you would like to feel and choose 1-3 words that describe those feelings...Nourished, Relaxed, Healthy? Rested, Dreamy, Intimate? Peaceful, Joyful, Refreshed? Use the feelings as a guide to choose items for your bedroom.

If your bedroom is far from ideal, start small and know that consistent steps (even tiny steps) and a clear plan will lead you to a dreamy bedroom that supports you with awesome, loving Feng Shui energy.

If you would like assistance in creating a beautiful Feng Shui Bedroom, please let me know, we can work in person or virtually, as well. Let’s have some FUN!

Lots of Love,
XO

Your Bagua Clutter Check

11/4/2016

Here are the cutie grandbabies--dressed up for Halloween--Cabbage Patch Doll and Mr. Bones:
Picture
Picture
Did your frightening files, creepy closets, or spooky cellar make the scene this Halloween? WHAAAAAAT? NO? You kept the doors closed? Too many cobwebs?
Picture
Let’s look at your clutter and stagnant energy from a different angle today
I’m going to introduce you to the BAGUA--the Feng Shui “map” that divides our buildings and properties into 9 sections or “guas”. This map has been used for centuries to guide purchases, construction and placement of the buildings in which we live and work:
Picture
This ancient map, when aligned with the front door can give us clues as to why certain aspects of our lives may not be as vibrant as we might wish them to be.

If there is an area of your home that seems to get cluttered just as fast as you unclutter it, look to see which area of the bagua it correlates with and then check that aspect of your life. This area of your life may be a challenge to you as well.
Our lives and the buildings that we occupy are inseparable!
If bringing harmony and peace to your life is at the top of your list, consider using the Bagua to help you decode the place in your home that needs attention.

An in-depth study of the bagua can take years and if you’re interested in learning more about it, let me know, I can recommend some further reading. For the purposes of clearing clutter, however, the simple version above will work.

Align the center of the bottom row with your front door and then imagine placing the Bagua over your entire home and property. The sections of the Bagua will correlate with certain rooms and areas of your home. It might help to sketch the outline of your home on a piece of paper and work with it that way…

Pick one aspect of your life that you would LOVE to see some improvement.
Clear out the clutter, chaos and stagnant energy that correlates with that area of the bagua...

  • Want more career energy? Be ruthless about clearing clutter at the front door, in the front closet and entryway.
  • Feeling zapped for energy? Release clutter and chaos in the center of your home.
  • Is your love life sagging? Attend to any mess or disorder in the far right area of your home.

I’m excited for you! Please let us know if you want assistance with this amazing opportunity--Kelly and I would love to help.

And…(just in case you’re the clever type) forget about the idea of secretly shifting your clutter from one area of your home to another--because wherever you put it, it will affect you!

Lots of Love,
XOXO

“Jane's “Om For Your Home” event at the DreamBank was very inspiring! Prior to the talk I had begun organizing, but I was feeling a bit overwhelmed. Jane was encouraging and gave me the great idea of celebrating each small step along the way. This helped me stay motivated, as organizing and going through piles isn't always the most fun! It was very beneficial to pause a moment to reflect on my progress.”
